UPDATE ON TICK 9-23-07 10:30AM
Good Morning ,
There has been no real changes in Ticks medical situation over the last 2
days. He is still unconscious and critical but stable condition. There will be alot of days like that.
His recovery is going to take time and patience, and I did say recovery.
It has only been 7 days and he has already overcome major hurdles. Hold on to these
thoughts, Tick is strong and brave and cared about more than he could ever
know . Thank you for your thoughts and prayers...........

UPDATE ON TICK 9-23-07 10:00PM
The following is a note from Sandy, Tick's better half
Hello Everyone, It appears the swelling in Tommy's brain is beginning to go down. The blood
clot has also started to dissipate. This is all good news. Hopefully we will
soon be able to "wake" him up and begin to access the extent of the damage to
the tissues in his brain. At that point they will begin evaluating Tommy to
determine the particulars of his rehabilitation. Again, I can not express my
gratitude for all your support and prayers during these difficult times.
Sandy

UPDATE ON TICK 10-02-07 11:22PM
Hello Everyone,
Great News....Tick began breathing on his own today. He is no longer
ventilated, but it is still necessary to breath thru his trake. All his stitches
and staples have been removed from his head. The swelling in the brain continues
to go down. His neurosurgeon expressed pleasure in Tommy's progress. This is
all great news. He still has not "woke" from the coma yet, but it will just be a
matter of time and patience. When Tick is ready to wake up , he
will. All those thoughts and prayers are working. Thank you for all the love and
support......... Thanks again to all those that have sent in donations. There will be a "Benefit for Tick" in the near future. We will post it just as soon as it is setup.
KEEP
THOSE PRAYER COMING...

UPDATE ON TICK 10-05-07 11:00PM
Hello Everyone,
Today we had a minor setback. Ticks wound on his head has become infected. At
9:00 am tomorrow morning he will go back into surgery. His neuro surgeon, Dr.
Bydon, will be reopening the wound on his head and cleaning and cutting away the
infected area's. The GOOD news is , his doctor feels the infection has not yet
effected the tissue in the brain. Double up on your prayers tomorrow...... All those thoughts and prayers are working. Thank you for all the love and
support......... Thanks again to all those that have sent in donations. KEEP
THOSE PRAYER COMING...

UPDATE ON TICK 10-22-07 8:50PM
Hello Everyone, Tick had awoke from his coma Oct 12th.
Since that time he has under gone 3 operations including one
today.
He already had the left side of his Skull removed to allow his
Brain room to swell.
Recently, Tick developed a large fluid build up on the Brain.
SO the doctors operated again and drilled two drain holes in the right side of
his skull on two different occasions this past week.
apparently there was to much Fluid and this afternoon the
Doctors operated again.
This time they removed the Right side of his
Skull.
The hope is everything will drain out (as far as the fluid)
and the plan is to put the Skull Bones (LEFT & RIGHT) back together in a few
weeks.
But, during this time frame Tick needs to be completely still.
Tick is fighter, and he has been doing just that.
When he woke up, he recognized people and was able to talk
somewhat.
Everytime they operated though we had to start over again, as
far as explaining to him where he was etc... etc...
Anyway, it will be a long road to recovery..........but, he
will recover.
Anyone wishing to send a card to Tick is more than welcome to...
The address is the same as the donation address. Feel free to drop a line, it would make his day!
Thank you for all the love and
support.........and a REAL BIG THANKS to everyone that showed up at the Benefit for Tick that "Howard's" Bar put on.
THANK YOU TO "HOWARD'S" FOR THE GREAT THING YOU GUYS HAVE DONE FOR TICK!!!!

UPDATE ON TICK 11-14-07 12:14PM
Hello Everyone,
I know it has been a while, but things have been pretty stable until today.
Tick's neurosurgeon , successfully put his native right bone flap and an
artificial left bone flap back into his skull today. They took him for surgery at
11:30 am this morning (11-13-07) and he arrived in the recovery room approximately 7:00 pm
this evening. He is still critical, but stable condition. The next
two weeks are critical . We are cautiously optimistic that there will be no
fluid build up in the skull cavity and no infection. This is key to Ticks
recovery. After we clear this hurdle ...off to rehab....and Tick is really going
to "show off " when he gets there....
Thank you for your thoughts and
prayers...they are working...
ONCE again THANKS to everyone that showed up at the Benefit for Tick that "DICK's HALFWAY INN" had on October,28th.
THANK YOU TO "DICK's HALFWAY INN" FOR ALL YOU'VE DONE FOR TICK!!!!

UPDATE ON TICK 11-25-07 8:50PM
Hello Everyone,
Happy Belated Thanksgiving... Great News...Tick was transferred to Sinai
rehabilitation center late on Wednesday. He starts rehabilitation today!!!.I anticipate his stay here will be
relatively short...than he will begin outpatient rehab. He has shown significant
improvements in all aspects of his recovery in the last 2 weeks. He is looking
forward to getting well enough to transfer to outpatient rehab, which enables
him to come home at night. He is fully aware he has some hurdles overcome,
and Tick being the "patient" man that he is (ha ha) , things just are not
happening quick enough for him and this is causing a bit of agitation.( Imagine
that) . Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers...Tick has
alot to be thankful for this holiday season ..they are working...
UPDATE ON TICK 12-12-07 3:25AM

focus is on all aspects of TBI injuries .Each candidate is evaluated and the
program is individually tailored around their needs and deficits. This program
