Baltimore police this morning identified the three people involved in a fatal head-on collision Saturday night in East Baltimore.
The crash happened about 9:30 p.m. in the 500 block of E. North Ave. at Greenmount Avenue, police said. Two men in a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe sport-utility vehicle were traveling west on E. North Ave. when the driver of a 2001 Lincoln Town Car crossed the center line and struck the SUV, police said.
City paramedics transported the SUV driver, Robert Rohrbaugh Sr., 37, to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, according to Officer Troy Harris, a police spokesman. Rohrbaugh was from Forest Hill, Harris said.
A relative of the driver, Earl Rohrbaugh, 41, of Rosedale, was a passenger in the SUV; he was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma Center after suffering a fracture in his right leg, Harris said.
The Town Car's driver was listed in good condition at an unspecified hospital, Harris said. He was identified as Ishemer Timmons, 21, of Baltimore.
Harris said the city Police Department's accident investigation unit was investigating the collision to determine whether criminal charges would be filed. He said investigators were still trying to determine the accident's cause.
